Lauren joined the SafeTiva Labs team in September 2022, after completing her Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and Master’s in Plant Science at the University of Connecticut. Lauren entered the cannabis industry in 2019, where she worked at a CBD facility and got experience in extraction, white-label production, and potency testing. During her graduate studies, she utilized molecular techniques to research how cannabis genes function to produce cannabinoids. This experience in the industry lead her to join the team as a Senior Laboratory Technician. This position allows her to work in both the chemical and biological side of testing to ensure we provide safe products for cannabis consumers. When she isn’t filling her time with science, she enjoys exploring nature, going to festivals, and traveling.
